Insight January 2015 Annual Review

Every year, the inaugural issue of Insight features the analysis of recent developments in the investment funds industry, offering a fact-based perspective on its current “state of the union”. Short of forecasting, however, the report is as much about the past as it is about the immediate future—the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. We explore the undercurrents beneath Fundland’s impressive expansionary track record in 2014 and ponder the implications of regulatory, competitive and market-driven events in the future. The years ahead, in our view, will present mutual fund providers and distributors with a number of challenges—some of them exceptional.
