Insight March 2015

The March issue of Insight examines the fund’s industry new model showroom, paying particular attention to products introduced since early 2014. The story documents the trends in new mutual funds, mutual fund of fund portfolios (MFoFs), exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and, in the Trendlines piece at the end of the report, individual segregated funds. New fund launches are examined from multiple angles, including by asset class, investment strategy and sponsor type (banks, independents, and others). We also quantify the sales traction of new funds and whether the money is coming from stand-alone funds or from MFoFs.
