Segregated Fund Dataset Basic—March 2024

The Segregated Fund Dataset Basic is a monthly deliverable containing segregated fund data for products sponsored by the companies participating in the consortium.

The file contains monthly data for the last 24 months, including:

• Segregated fund name and relevant characteristics such as date, fund code, insurer, asset class, fund type (traditional or GWB), indexed (yes/no), wraps mutual fund (yes/no), inception date, income benefit (yes/no), guarantee level; and
  

• Monthly fund information such as: assets, gross sales, withdrawals (redemptions) and net flows.

Legacy products are excluded. Funds with gross sales greater than zero at least once during the previous 24-month are included, largely reflecting products that are open to new sales for existing and/or new policyholders.

Only companies participating in the consortium and sharing their data have access to this dataset.
